We believe the Lord is calling the church in the UK to unite and stand in fasting and prayer in the lead up to the general election to seek a move of God in our nation. For more information read our blog post about it here. We are going to hold a 40 day Daniel fast starting on the 28th March leading up to the 6th May, the probable date of the next general election.
What is a Daniel Fast
A Daniel fast is based on two scriptures from the book of Daniel, Daniel 1:12 and Daniel 10:3. These verses say that he ate only fruit and vegetables and drank only water. A Daniel fast is good for people with a heavy workload. These fasts are sometimes called a partial fast.
If you are considering participating in the fast I would encourage you to read through the book of Daniel and ask that God would give you a revelation of the benefits of living a lifestyle of prayer and fasting.
